DMCA & Copyright Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Hypeoid provides a suite of free tools that allow users to download publicly available media (videos, images, thumbnails) from third-party platforms such as Twitter/X, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, and Facebook. This page explains our approach to copyright and how to submit a takedown request if you believe your content has been affected.

1. Our Position on Copyright

Hypeoid does not host, store, or distribute any third-party media content. Our tools act as a technical interface that retrieves publicly available URLs from third-party platforms and facilitates the user downloading content to their own device.

Our tools are intended for personal, non-commercial use only — for example:

  • Downloading your own content for backup purposes.
  • Saving content you have explicit permission from the creator to download.
  • Educational or journalistic fair use where applicable.

Users are solely responsible for ensuring that any content they download does not infringe copyright or violate the terms of service of the platform the content was retrieved from. We explicitly prohibit using our tools to infringe copyright.

2. DMCA Takedown Requests

We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and equivalent international copyright laws. If you are a copyright owner (or authorised to act on their behalf) and you believe our service has been used to infringe your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice.

Your notice must include all of the following:

  1. Your full name and contact details (including email address and mailing address).
  2. A description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
  3. The URL or specific information identifying where the alleged infringement occurred on or through our service.
  4. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, their agent, or the law.
  5. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on their behalf.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

Send your takedown notice to: hypeoiddigital@gmail.com with the subject line: DMCA Takedown Notice.

We will review all valid notices and respond within 5 business days.

3. Counter-Notice

If you believe your content was removed as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice. A valid counter-notice must include:

  1. Your name, address, and email address.
  2. Identification of the content that was removed and its previous location.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the content was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  4. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts.
  5. Your physical or electronic signature.

Send your counter-notice to: hypeoiddigital@gmail.com with the subject line: DMCA Counter-Notice.

4. Repeat Infringers

Hypeoid reserves the right to restrict access to our tools for users who repeatedly infringe copyright or abuse our services.

5. Third-Platform Terms

Use of our download tools does not override or replace the terms of service of the platform the content was sourced from. If a platform prohibits downloading of its content, users are responsible for complying with those platform rules independently of what our tools technically permit.
